Metallica font

The Metallica font that most closely resembles the one used on their album cover is a typeface by the name of Paster Of Muppets. This design was created by the Ray Larbie, who is a renowned font author from Toronto, Canada. As most Metallica fans would probably already know, the name of this typeface is a play on words relating to the famous Metallica album called “Master Of Puppets”, which was first released on 3rd March, 1986.

This typeface contains a full set of uppercase, lowercase, number, and punctuation glyphs. The uppercase letters are styled just like the “M” and “A” characters from the original album cover lettering. In this way, you can create an exact replica of the official Metallica logo. Here is a preview that I recently created to showcase what this font looks like once you install it on your computer:

Metallica is an iconic American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1981. The founding members include James Hetfield (vocals/guitar) and Lars Ulrich (drums), later joined by Kirk Hammett (guitar) and Robert Trujillo (bass). Renowned for their hard rockin’ sound, Metallica’s most noted song is “Enter Sandman” and their acclaimed album is “Metallica” (also known as “The Black Album”), released in 1991.

The zip file below contains x2 Metallica-themed fonts which you can experiment and play around with. Drop me a line via our Contact Us page and let me know which is your favorite. Also, if you have created any cool designs using either of these fonts, please feel free to drop me a message here as I would love to see them. The download button is presented below:
